Mario Failla
Creative Director

Mario is one of the most ambitious and creative people working within The Gallery.

Cousin to Lorenzo, Mario began his career here several years ago.  With a strong education background and the ability to communicate with fellow hairdressers, he was soon offered the opportunity to work alongside former British Hairdresser of the year, and Resident Hair stylist on Channel 4s 10 Years Younger, Andrew Barton.

Based in London, Mario would spend the next 3 years traveling Europe and other countries around the globe sharing his philosophy and techniques with others.

A real favourite on stage, Mario was soon presenting the latest looks to audiences from small intimate seminars to hundreds of people in large arenas.

Always keen to develop himself and learn more, Mario went on to complete the L’Oreal Colour Specialist Degree achieving a staggering 90% pass mark.

On returning to The Gallery, Mario continues to develop the business and the staff.  Creating new bespoke courses, he has already begun to raise the minimum standard of hairdressing within our company and is a real asset to inspiring the team.

Not only is he educating the staff at The Gallery, he also teaches educators at colleges up and down the country and shows no signs of stopping there.

Currently a L’Oreal ID Artist, Mario showcases the latest trends in hairdressing and even with a jam-packed schedule still managed to take The Gallery to the Regional Finals of the L’Oreal Colour Trophy 2011 on their first ever entry.

You will find Mario still working 3 days a week in the salon, and what makes him a popular and unique member of staff is his ability to decipher trends for consumer looks and has an easy going approach. He is both a humble, and very personable character.
