PHAB Gold Standard in Hair & Beauty

A Tunbridge Wells hair salon has become the first in Kent to be awarded a prestigious award for achieving high standards in the hair and beauty industry. The Gallery, of London Road, Southborough, was presented with a Performance in Hair and Beauty Award (PHAB) which is an industry recognised standard of excellence and customer service.

Salon owner and creative director, Lorenzo Colangelo, received the award from Sir Keith Mills, Deputy Chair of the London 2012 Organising Committee of the Olympics, at a champagne reception  held for clients and staff.

Nergish Wadia-Austin, Chief Executive of PHAB Standard Ltd who presents the awards, told the assembled guests that The Gallery had provided outstanding professional services and great customer care, which was overwhelmingly endorsed by the feedback received from the salon’s customers during their research for the award.

Speaking after receiving the award, Lorenzo praised the dedication and skill of his team for helping win the trophy. “We strive to work in an atmosphere of excellence” he said, “Which means we can be confident that our clients expectations are always exceeded”.

During the presentation Lorenzo also launched the Gallery’s unique Luxury Lounge . This is an area where clients can sit and relax throughout their entire experience in the salon, for example whilst they are waiting for colours to develop.  Ipads are provided to pass the time, along with a glass of bubbly or soft drinks. Clients can also use the time to take advantage of the many beauty treatments available, including a luxury treatment which takes place in the beautiful ‘shu uemura room’, a space designed to make clients feel completely relaxed and at ease, complete with a massage chair - the perfect way to unwind.
